On July 31, the National Energy Administration held a press conference to release the energy situation and renewable energy grid-connected operation in the first half of the year, and introduced the development of new energy storage and the issuance of green certificates. According to the press conference, as of the end of June this year, the total number of wallbox electric car charger in the country reached 10.244 million, a year-on-year increase of 54%; of which 3.122 million were public wallbox electric car charger and 7.122 million were private wallbox electric car charger. The total rated power of public wallbox electric car charger exceeded 110 million kilowatts, ensuring the charging needs of 24 million new energy vehicles.
Zhang Xing, deputy director of the General Department of the National Energy Administration, introduced that in the first half of the year, the charging volume of new energy vehicles nationwide was about 51.3 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 40%. This year's "May Day" holiday, the daily charging volume of highways hit a record high.
In order to create an inter-city wallbox electric car charger network that effectively meets the long-distance travel of new energy vehicles, the National Energy Administration, together with the Ministry of Transport, issued the "Notice on Further Improving the Service Guarantee Level of Highway wallbox electric car charger during Major Holidays", and continued to increase the layout of wallbox electric car charger. As of now, a total of 27,200 wallbox electric car charger have been built in highway service areas (including parking areas), basically covering all provinces in the country.
The National Energy Administration organized some counties and townships to carry out the construction and application promotion of wallbox electric car charger. More than one-third of the provinces in the country have deployed wallbox electric car charger to all townships, which has effectively supported the development of new energy vehicles in rural areas.
According to reports, the National Energy Administration issued the "Guidelines for the Preparation of Electric Vehicle wallbox electric car charger Layout Planning" to guide local scientific planning of construction scale, network structure, layout function and development model, so as to better meet the wallbox electric car charger needs of different fields and scenarios.
At the same time, it also accelerated the interactive application of vehicle-network integration. The National Energy Administration guides local governments and relevant enterprises to carry out research on supporting policies and technical verification for vehicle-grid interaction. Shenzhen, Guangxi and other regions have promoted the aggregation of vehicle-grid interaction resources to participate in the electricity market and demand response, effectively reducing peak loads and promoting the consumption of new energy.
In the next step, the National Energy Administration will continue to promote the construction of a high-quality wallbox electric car charger system to assist the green and low-carbon transformation of transportation and the construction of a modern wallbox electric car charger system.
