New energy charging gun is divided into DC gun and AC gun, DC gun is high current, high power charging gun, usually equipped with charging station fast charging piles ev charging infrastructure, home is usually AC charging gun, or portable charging gun.
1、AC charging gun (AC charger)
There are three main types public car charging stations: type1, type2 and GB/T, corresponding to American Standard, European Standard and National Standard. Tesla has its own standard charging interface (North American Charging Standard NACS).
(1) Type1: SAE J1772 interface, also known as J-plug
Basically, the US and countries with closer ties to the US (e.g. Japan, South Korea, etc.) use Type1 American Standard charging guns, including AC charging posts and portable charging guns that come with the car.
Type1 mainly provides two charging voltages, 120V (Level1) and 240V (Level2).
(2) Type2: IEC 62196 Interface
Type2 is the interface standard for electric vehicles in Europe, the rated voltage is generally 230V, look at the picture and the national standard is a little bit like the European standard is similar to the sun engraving, the black part is hollowed out, and the opposite of the national standard.
(3) GB/T: GB/T20234 national standard interface
From 1 January 2016, China stipulates that as long as the charging interface of new energy vehicles produced in China must comply with the national standard GB/T20234, the voltage provided by the national standard AC charging gun is generally 220V.
2、DC charging gun
DC charging guns generally correspond to AC charging guns, each region has its own standards, with the exception of Japan, where the DC charging gun interface standard is CHAdeMO.
American Standard Type1 corresponds to CCS1, mainly adding a pair of high current charging holes at the bottom.
European standard Type2 corresponds to CCS2, and the national standard is GB/T.
The rated voltage of DC charging pile is usually above 400V, and the current is several hundred amperes, so it is usually used for DC fast charging pile in charging station.
