The rapid growth of the number of new energy vehicles in the world has brought about a rapidly growing demand for charging stations. In 2022, the total sales of new energy vehicles in the world will exceed 10.5 million, while in 2021 there will be only 1.8 million public charging stations in the world, most of which are located in China, and Europe and the United States only account for 27%. The construction of charging piles needs to be optimized urgently. Although the sales performance in China and Europe in January 2023 was poor due to the impact of refunds and the Spring Festival holiday, the sales in February showed a clear recovery trend. The domestic automobile consumption stimulus policy and the European 2035 ban on the sale of fuel vehicles will still provide strong support for the annual sales. The United States has a low penetration rate and is still in a period of rapid development, and may become the fastest growing market in the world. We expect global sales to reach 14 million in 2023. Charging demand continues to grow rapidly. Enterprises that produce charging stations, upstream hardware equipment and various components will fully benefit.
The construction of charging infrastructure in most countries around the world lags behind the development of the new energy vehicle industry. In 2021, the global public vehicle pile ratio will be as high as 10:1, and 68% of the existing public charging stations are slow charging, which cannot well meet the charging needs of new energy vehicles. From 2015 to 2021, only a small number of countries such as China, South Korea and the Netherlands will maintain a relatively stable vehicle-to-pile ratio, which can match the growth of electric vehicle stock. The number of charging stations in most European countries does not meet the recommended standards of AFID, and the charging stations in the United States also have problems such as uneven distribution and low proportion of fast charging. In response to this status quo, the European Union plans to invest 172 billion euros in the construction of charging stations before 2030, while the United States has introduced the IRA bill to extend tax credits and support local construction to promote the development of charging infrastructure.
It’s a good trends to start the ev charging business, and high quality charging stations will be the most priority. Green Science will be a good choice. Come and get more information.
