China News Service, Beijing, July 31 (Wang Mengyao) China's National Energy Administration held a press conference on July 31 to introduce the energy situation in the first half of the year. Zhang Xing, deputy director of the General Department of the National Energy Administration, said at the meeting that as of the end of June this year, the total number of wallbox electric car charger in the country reached 10.244 million, a year-on-year increase of 54%.
Chia's new energy vehicles are developing rapidly, and the current ownership has exceeded 24 million. Under the strong demand for wallbox electric car charger, China is accelerating the construction of a high-quality wallbox electric car charger system to support the rapid development of new energy vehicles.
Zhang Xing introduced that the scale of China's wallbox electric car charger is constantly expanding. As of the end of June, there were 3.122 million public piles and 7.122 million private wallbox electric car charger, and the total rated power of public piles exceeded 110 million kilowatts.
The scope of the wallbox electric car charger network is also continuing to extend. Zhang Xing pointed out that the charging volume of new energy vehicles in the country in the first half of the year was about 51.3 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 40%, and the single-day highway charging volume during the "May Day" holiday reached a record high. So far, a total of 27,200 wallbox electric car charger have been built in highway service areas (including parking areas), basically covering all provinces in the country.
China's rural areas are also rapidly filling the gap in charging. According to Zhang Xing, more than one-third of China's provinces have deployed wallbox electric car charger to all towns, which has effectively supported the development of new energy vehicles in rural areas.
In the next step, the National Energy Administration will continue to promote the construction of a high-quality wallbox electric car charger system to help the green and low-carbon transformation of transportation and the construction of a modern wallbox electric car charger system.
